Beautiful, long-lasting and sustainable, bamboo is a relatively new flooring trend. People are drawn to it because it is particularly hardy and it looks different to the classic hardwood floors. Bamboo is also an eco-friendly choice. A rapidly regenerating natural resource, bamboo takes about 6 years to mature (while an oak takes about 60 years), and harvesting practices ensure that the original bamboo plant is left unharmed to quickly regenerate.
Harder than white oak or maple, bamboo is rated slip resistant, and its subtle grain makes it visually appealing, particularly if you like a more modern look. Bamboo is a highly versatile material and its strength and simplicity make it an ideal choice for virtually any room of your home or business. |
